This info was taken from Hendsford Town's forum. Seems like they've jumped on the "jealous of Avenue" band wagon.

| Bradford PA's millionaire chairman has been ridiculed over his planned 20,000 seat stadium however it seems this is all a part of a grand masterplan. The stadium isn't for the fans, it's so that there is room for the squad as BPA continue their policy of buying every non league footballer in the country and sticking them on 15 year contracts. This will ensure the opoosition are left fielding supporters teams, easing BPA's passage through the non league pyramid. |
I've noticed a trend has developed, SP.
The most envious fans are the ones who have a section who think they're too big for this league - Boston United, FCUM and now Hednesford. I will be careful to say a section as I don't want every lurker from these other clubs jumping on me.
We've been quite the hot topic of conversation on the Boston message board too, with our attendance on Saturday provoking a lot of mirth.
Not that it should concern fans of these other clubs in any way at all, but our gates are growing and should the club continue to progress, dare I say that Accrington Stanley are doing very nicely on average gates of 1,600 (only about 1,200 home fans).
I don't mind this ridicule if it's funny (the Boston blog about us was) if inaccurate, but this thing from Hednesford is neither funny nor based on anything, as we haven't even got a very big squad.
What's behind all this, of course, is their overhelming worry that Avenue might have a good enough side that they, as proper, big clubs, will be consigned to the Unibond League for another season. And that would not be right.
I can smell their fear.

If you want to see real envy look on Impstalk at Boston United. What a bunch of arrogant to**ers. Quote "We're too good for this tin pot league". Well if you'd looked after your finances properly you woudn't be in this league. Then they have the nerve to criticse us and Bobs input ,ie "When the money runs out..." and "Their crowds can't sustain the wages..." blah blah blah. At the end of the day they wish they were us because we are on the up and they are on the road to nowhere. Also if they want to go on about former Football League glories i don't think their record stands up to ours. Should be an interseting encounter later in the year.

I was reading the Ossett town forum and they were saying the Hednesford players were all big time charlies. We are best ignoring all the posts and comments and concentrate on supporting the team. Most clubs would love to be in our position.
