Full Version: Bulls fixture clash
ackworth avenue
I see that our game on Monday clashes with the Bulls v Hull KR game which is quiet a blow as i have season tickets for both teams as do a few Avenue regulars. The Bulls game is on Sky with a 2.15 KO, is it too late to try to get our kick off put back a couple off hours as this could adversly affect the gate at Horsfall. I know sometimes this has been done for varoius reasons in the past, is this possble?

if that is the case it would be a good idea {if it was possible}to put ko time back to about 5pm{maybe 5:30pm}and with a few volunteers dishing out tickets or flyers{offering a free pint??} outside Odsal, this might pick up a few extra supporters.

The league will not allow a switch at such short notice.

That's a shame but it was worth asking. Thanks anyway.

We may not be able to change the kick off time but we could sure as hell do what you have suggested. I think if we were to advertise at the Bulls more openly we could start attracting a bigger crowd and how about we build on last season where we let certain teams season ticket holders in for free but instead of letting them in for free give them a couple of quid off?

Good idea that man. I'm a Bulls season ticket holder and i wouldn't mind doing a bit leafleting.

Avenue have been there and done that

Bulls season ticket holders were let in for a reduced admission for a number of years up until recently ( dont think its still going ) not many took up the offer, maybe 10 at the most

Briggsy bet you darnt go ring the Bulls and Sky ask um to change the ko time, tel um the mighty AVENUE are at home biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

still think we will beat saturday crowd, im gonna say 550 on bank holiday
Steampigs
I think we should have gone for a 7:45 kick off in the first place. Lots of people set off for the day on Bank Holiday but are often back at tea time ish. A day out and a cracking match in the evening what more could you want (apart from a bit of sunshine!).
