I don't think that we will be bullied anywhere on the park with the physical attributes of most of the new team.
Great build up play especially from the wingers Graves? and Bettney? for a big lad the left winger did really well especially if what i was told is right and that he is a left-back?
The new signing along with Rudd had an outstanding game and the only disappointment was not seeing them both get a hat trick on their debut for Avenue.

It was as good a performance as we could have hoped for today. Everybody in the team had a good game and Rudd and Hall in particular were outstanding. Rudd looks like he will be a real handful. He put himself about but also showed some neat touches too. Chris Hall looks a class player with plenty of pace and a good first touch. His second goal was real quality. He looks and plays very much like Dino Mammria who was a very good player at non league level. Betney out on the right wing also got got through a lot of good work today. I was a bit concerned at first at playing Graves on the left of midfield as I thought we would lose some width but it worked quite well. He is not an orthodox winger but he did get quite a few crosses in and won posession a lot down our left. With Connors and Baker also playing well I thought we bossed the midfield. Stevie C was as good as ever and I was pleasantly surprised to see him just get up and get on with it after being on the end of a very bad tackle. I expected him to retaliate but fotunately he just dusted himself down and carried on as if nothing had happened. We will have much tougher opposition than Prescot but all in all we should be satisfied with our start. The excellent performances of Hall and Rudd could present Camy with a selection problem when Patterson is available again but that will be a nice problem to have. Pehaps we could play all 3.
