I thought so too, but after Kev's apology , and Bob's too , there's still no answer to the question asked by so many fans about our players who took part.
Both of them say that we DID play, so why the difficulty in naming the team ?
It's hard to believe the club would jet out to Spain with less than a full XI , so why the continued mystery ? Is it so difficult to remember a dozen or so names ?
We all want to put this sorry episode behind us, but there will always be a view by some that the total truth hasn't yet come out if the question is always answered with bluster and accusations of something which has nothing to do with the request.
Bob, Kev, Steve or whoever took charge over there, clear it up now, please.
Can we please talk about something else. I AM SICK OF HEARING ABOUT SPAIN!!! FFS CHANGE THE RECORD!

I agree.
It was a dark chapter. I was annoyed. The anger passed. I've moved on.
I thought we all had.
The only people keeping this alive are a few internet warriors from Bury and Boston.
There's a whole, exciting season ahead.
For FCUK sake can we please put the indigant cream away and stop being so self-righteous. Accept he apology, Dark Chapter my arse (better check you locked the church up on the way home Robert). I'll tell you what was embarassing watching the likes of Frickley put 4 past us a few seasons ago. Couldn't give a toss if we played Lord Lucans 11 in Spain and Elvis scored a hatrick. WHAT DOES IT REALLY MATTER

well, soccerates, i agree with your sentiment to a point.
but the people in charge of MY football club have proved to be liars and conmen and i think that's pretty cheap.
a perfunctory apology was forthcoming when they were found out - i don't trust the fuckers and i never will. in the meantime - i appreciate the effort put in by ALL of the people that give time and money to MY club and i'll cheer any victory as much as the next man.
and i'll stop making the point when people stop being crass apologists for a "joke" that was neither funny, nor in reality, a joke.
so, i ask again, does anyone really think that telling lies to your own fans and your local paper and then trying to cover it up with an even worse lie (not to mention the spamming of this board by one of the blackburn acolytes) was a good idea? or anything less than juvenile behaviour?

but the people in charge of MY football club have proved to be liars and conmen and i think that's pretty cheap.

Even the few players who went have said that no games were played, yet the board seem intent on digging a deeper hole (quite appropriate seing as Kev is a self confessed GARDENER!) by continuing to lie to the press and the fans.
The Blackburn employees saga is another matter again.

Tell the fans the FULL SQUAD LIST for the games that never happened.
