GERRY LIGHTOWLER
It is with profound sorrow that Bradford Park Avenue learnt that over the weekend one of our great 'Old Boys' Gerry Lightowler passed away after an illness stretching back over the past year.
Gerry will be well remembered by many of our older supporters as one of the mainstays of our 1960's era team who played alongside some of the characters of those days, Jimmy Scoular, Kevin Hector, John Hardie, Jim Fryatt etc.
Born 5th September 1940 his playing career with Park Avenue stretched from 1958 to 1968 playing 208 times for Avenue and scoring 1 goal.
. His funeral is being held on this coming Friday - details will be put on this mailing list when known.
I'm sure our thoughts are with Gerry's family at this time.
