2 years ago most folk in Bradford would say "Park Avenue? they went bust in the 70s, or Park Aven Who, never heard of them.
How times have changed
Everything we do is being monitored by football fans in Bradford and far beyond, every action goes under the microscope.
It now appears that we have reached that elite status "CONSPIRACY THEORY" material.
Did we go to Spain ? Have we been blackballed by the T & A, Has Bob found a new play thing, Will the global increase in coffee increase the price of a cuppa in the tea bar, has Kev stopped being director of everything as he doesn't answer queries any more.
Most of the answers will be found in the new X Files film, but here is a preview.
1) Yes we went to Spain
2) No, but Ian Whiting has taken his annual holiday
3) Yes..... only joking. I have explained so many times before that the time
money and effort from Bob & the board is unrivalled. Bob is AVENUE through &
through and will be here for a long time.
4) Yes I a afraid that with the global increase in all commodities, prices will have
to increase in one or two areas, however these will be kept to a minimum.
5) Kev is a gardener. That is how I make my money that helps to fund the club.
I naively thought that my job would fit in perfectly with my role in the club.
Gardener - busy in summer quiet in winter, football - quiet in summer busy in winter. It seemed so simple !!!
The reality of being a commercial gardener is that between May & August we work 7 days a week often late into the evening.
My main focus has to be my business and this year was exceptionally difficult after some toe rags emptied my work shop of over £20,000 of equipment.
Unfortunately experience on the various forums have led me to the conclusion that every answer leads to another load of questions and it is hard to distinguish between our fans and the wind up merchants and to be frank, I am that tired that I cannot be bothered to get into debates about things that do not help the club.
So please let me carry on earning the money that goes to helping our club.
I think everyone would agree that we have made huge improvements to all areas of the club and intend to continue in the same vein.
As we start the season, we have a great manager and assitant in place, a great squad that will improve as they gel together as a side and most importantly a board that is committed to build the club to the highest level possible.
Finally I keep seeing things about Phoenix Park. The situation is that as we prepare for a planning application there is a high degree of commercial confidentiality involved so I would just ask for a bit of patience and Bob will update you as and when he can.
Please do not ask for more details as we are still very busy and my lack of response will be due toi pressure of work rather than a reluctance to answer.
Lets move forward together
Kev
