3. if rory scored a hattrick against 'soto fc' why, when we asked him, did he say he wasn't on any tour, and was still on holiday with his family?
4. why i have been emailed, and my checks on this have pretty much confirmed the fact, that there was no tour, just a lads' holiday in the sun, which you decided to spin out into a 'preseason tour' in the name of, apparently, comedy.
frankly, bob, the avenue fans deserve better than this bullshit.

If it's alienated the T+A that's a blow but they've never given a s**t about avenue so fcuk them.

I dont think we will get anything out of the officialdom,its still on the club web site after all ,so its slightly embarrassing,but its not the end of the world,we know that if Bob says he is going to do something he tries his utmost to do it,maybe he felt he let us down by announcing a pre season tour which for one reason or another couldnt go ahead and thought he could cover it up,he still took the available members of staff for a tour/crawl of some sort,well worse things happen,other than being a little shown up,and a couple of lost inches of T& A coverage,life goes on,come on you green machine,up the avenue and all that,lets get behind the club and put it behind us.

It's just not very easy or rewarding to explain a joke/pisstake to someone who doesn't get it.
For that reason i'm sure they won't bother giving an explaination as it wouldnt work would it and most people can go figure.
Although it wan't advisable or probably intended a part of me thinks the T+A had this coming with their lazy apathetic 2nd hand BPA reporting - it's them that look more silly.

I started the this off when I posted a 'complaint re the T&A report. I can assure you that I am not an outsider as I was a supporter through the fifties and sixties and since reformation.
I just don't like being taken for a mug and my teams name held up to ridicule.

Hi Itchy I know how you feel I enjoy hearing the latest from the Riddler and the Joker in charge over at Manningham
Laughed my socks off at Stu's £1.5 m transfer fund war chest. The fact that you broke even this year after launching your season ticket sails for next season at Xmas. That if someone else with money came along they would both sell the club like a shot. At least here there is some excitment and expectation and not the rigamortis of a slowly dying club

If we deliberately released a press release to the T&A about a Spanish tour where we played matches that did not happen how can we just expect them to just forget that and go on as if nothing had happened. If the stories - repeated several times, were untrue not only were the Telegraph and Argus and their readers deceived but the supporters of Bradford PA were deceived. I have criticised the T&A a lot over the years but its a fact we need them to give us as much publicity as possible. They do not need us. Bob has done fantastic things at Avenue and our gates have increaed. But he can not sign spectators. We need the T&A if we are not to become 100 per cent reliant on internet publicity. Last Monday's attendence showed the result of no publicity in the local paper on the day of the match. What will it be like if we are treated in the same way before a Unibond League match.
I asked Kevin Hainsworth about the Spanish trip at the open day and whether Brookster was likely to sign. I was told it the trip was a success but Brookster was reluctant to travel to England to sign for us. I took him at his word - and until there is a statement to the contrary I will continue to do so. It does though look like the matches played in Spain when Brookster was 'man of the match' was just a load of rubbish. I have a sense of humour and I can appreciate a good harmless spoof but I know there are many other supporters who like me are very concerned about the damage that may have been done to our club. If the tour didn't happen as the web site says the club should issue a statement apologising unreservedly for misleading supporters.
