Yesterday the T&A amazingly dedicated a whole page PLUS part of the back page to the Leeds Celtic - Manningham psf tonight. Not surprisingly tonight's T&A also dedicates the whole of the back page to City's trip to Leeds (obviously tomorrow will have a 6 page pull out boolet on the game). Much of their attention has been on Penfold facing his old club. I wonder how much publicity the 'local' paper will give to Chris Brandon returning to Horsfall on Saturday to face his old club. One tenth maybe, a quarter I doubt. Maybe it will merit a couple of inches of column space.

The club's official website has reports of matches in Spain between Park Avenue and two clubs, FC Soto and FC Benas, that apparently do not exist. It is said that Rory Paterson scored a hat trick. However posters on supportres site allege that he never even travelled. These reports were picked up on trust by the T&A and printed.

I wouldn't blame the T&A if they never printed anything about Avenue ever again.

There are people on the various BPA websites and forums who are making the club a laughing stock. This has gone too far.

What with everything thats gone at Avenue over the last twelve months or more there is an awful lot of prying eyes within the non-league circuit on the club at this present time. Which makes this fabricated pre-season trip to Spain even more unbelievable. Bradford (Park Avenue) are a reasonably well respected football club and not some team from a comic strip in the Sun newspaper. Quite what some people expected to gain from it is beyond me and I presume many others. Very unprofessional and will no doubt make every other story to come out of the club questionable. Phoenix Park anybody??

The result against City tomorrow will no doubt be unbelievable too (for City fans at least!) tongue.gif

5-1 to BPA, at least it's not far for the Manningham lot to get home and lick their wounds. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Perhaps a few photos from the matches posted on the web site might blow these silly rumours out of the water.

Rob.

Crowd of 1500 and winning 5-1.

Optimistic as ever Rob.

From the T&A Dave Cameron said "I would love it if we beat them, love it. "

I won't hazard a guess at the correct score.

Roll on 1st Sept. wink.gif

Have a good weekend and enjoy the game.

Couldnt agree more Rob, they are in for a shock !!!! These mugs have got it in their heads we are gonna be a push over, this club has come a long way in the last 12 mths, i think they will be in for a suprise, if we play like we did against Macclesfield they will be too easy for us, especially how we showed Macclesfield too much respect in the 1st 20 minutes !!!! if we get at em from the off with Connors upto his usual tricks that will be end of !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There already is! LINK - http://www.bpafc.com/content/pages/latest-...icle.asp?nid=54

Unless my are deceiving me, the picture at the top of the page looks like it was taken in Spain. If not maybe somebody could point me in the direction of the very place in Bradford it was taken!
Steampigs
None of any match though!

......and that proves what exactly? Ok some of the squad went to Spain for a jolly. Its been well documented on websites and even the local newspaper of games against so called Spanish teams who for some reason don't seem to exist. A player scoring a hat-trick when allegedly he wasn't even there! Very foolish if it all comes out in the wash that it was pure fabrication
