Full Version: Team pic
Is there any possibility of having a good professional team photo taken this year? For many years now they seem to have taken the form of a “school team” photo. Take a look a last years Stalybridge Celtic team photo on their site. It’s under first team/squad photo- very impressive. Maybe a team photo with the stand and “BPA” in the back ground???
I believe David Bailey is good, but he doesn't work for FC United so I suppose BPA won't be interested in hiring him !!!

Seriously though a team photo is a good shout.
Ypu could photoshop it so you could have anybody you wanted on it, for example Jerome Wright or Michael Norton - dreams become reality!

Seems like someone has been taking notice- good professional new team photo on the BPA website. Is there any chance of seeing a full size version somewhere, as I cannot seem to find one on the site at the moment?

Seems like someone has been taking notice- good professional new team photo on the BPA website. Is there any chance of seeing a full size version somewhere, as I cannot seem to find one on the site at the moment?
The photo was taken last night.
It was on the web site by 11.30
I will investigate, but it will certainly be available on the BPA calendar shortly.

Instead of insulting the fans' intelligence and attempting to belittle people with snide remarks, why don't you just answer the questions that we all ask?
ie:
If games took place (as quoted by YOU) then what was the squad?
Who exactly was this "other" Patterson (even though YOU were quoted as calling him Rory on the club's website)
How is attending an AWAY PSF at lowly Clitheroe me making an effort to help the club? and why would it be a "minor miracle" if i WERE to make it all the way from Hull to Clitheroe (for a low attendance, away, psf)?
Is petrol a lot cheaper at your end or something?
How do I know if Bob is at a game or not???
When i read comments like "if anyone wants to see plans or talk to me then see me at the game on saturday" then I assume that Bob will be there, I have only missed 2 PSF's up until today's game not that it is any business of yours which games I choose to watch.
Even if you told me that Bob would definately be there, what difference would that make and why should i believe you anyway, not exactly got a good track record when it comes to factual events have you!

At that rate we will be able to sign Premiership players by the end of the season!

Well Kev, it would appear we need an updated team photo already. What with Suggs and Lamby leaving for Halifax; new players coming in; together with some squad members missing from the original, the calendar may well be out of date by Christmas. How many will the club sell, should numerous players have come and gone? On a similar theme, I already envisage attending our away game at Ossett on April 13 2009, yet the programme containing pen pictures of the likes of Suggs and Lamby. I wish clubs officials would keep such things up to date. It life in non league football; players come and go with regularity.

1) It is an unfortunate fact of life that whilst players come & go, a large % of the programme is fixed for the season.
2) All players have been asked for the information on the web site

IR - if you have an issue with Kev i suggest you seek him out at a game. He is a very reasonable man. I spoke with him at the Farsley game, and got one or two matters off my chest. I probably ruined his enjoyment of the second half, but he seemed happy to talk to me. At the appropriate time i'll also have a word with Bob, and Dr Dean.
Kev - remember you're a director of the club. Sometimes it pays not to get involved.
I even had a Guiseley fan ring me yesterday asking what's happening at our club. They think we're imploding. We certainly are the talk of the Unibond League at the moment, but for all the wrong reasons. Let's hope we can start to put that right on the 16th.

Fully agree. Heard enough from I R. Kev was out of order what he did. End of. Can we now concentrate on what true AVENUE supporters want this season, and not what people like I R want to drag on and on and on.
Unfortunately it now seems that this forum is dominated by people who have issues with the ownership of this club and the direction they percieve it is going.
I feel that it would be advisable for the good of the club as suggested before that the club is represented by a press officer and that this is the channel that should be used exclusively by board members and should not engage in conversation with the fans either via electronic media or face to face. .
Its a sorry state of affairs but too many use this forum as a way of venting their spleens at percieved wrongs or ills at this club to the very people who are backing this club. Though recent events have not helped, the regime represents real progress on and off the field and speaks for itself.
Let the Fans Forum held in the social club be the place where those who wish to talk to the regime can spout their usual bilge if they have the guts to do so.

Good posts Dennisov and Soccerates.
The problem with these forum's 5 or 6 people who are disenchanted with things at the club can create a perception that all is not well.
As long as the people who run the club realise the vast majority are very supportive of their efforts and do not get bogged down with this or run to a bunker fine.
